You can set your desktop very easily because in this you can just find a image you like and click on it and tell it to set it as your desktop you just have to make sure the picture is the same size as your desktop resolution so there is no stretching. On your windows colors such as the glassed colors you can set the intensity of them so you might not even be able to see through them. You can also change your screen saver to multiple pictures if you give it multiple pictures to show and set it to the slideshow option there are speed differences and other such actions. If you really care that much you can change your screen resolution by clicking on your desktop and selecting screen resolution and then switch the size of it to match your screensaver pictures or whatever your trying to fit to a specific resolution. You can also pin things to your task bar such as GUI Icon's and unpin them as well by clicking on them and selecting unpin on your taskbar.

Programs that people use to view their emails given to us by windows is Windows Live Essentials. It shows some rather common easy to understand icons such as delete forward junk and add to calendar. It can also do any function you want from this program that you could on any online program such as send or reply and delete to manage your space. Composing a new E-Mail is another function made easy by this because it is extremely easy in this program you just click new button. You can use some other programs as well as this one to send calendars and such to people as well as instant messenger. These are all basic ways to converse with other people using windows.

File and Folder Management

In this part of windows 7 we see how the program micro manages or individually how the program is set up. You can set programs to have new names or even check the size on disk by selecting the properties menu on when you click a individual program. you can stack your windows which all your folders can be shown on by a window. Working with the Windows 7 Desktop

Another feature of Windows 7 is how you interact with the Desktop. A method you could use on trying to keep control of all your programs is saving what you've done in notepad and storing it in a folder. To create a folder you open up your documents page click on it select new and pick folder. Anything you would save is in now Library > Documents > name of the folder. If you wanted to open this program in a Microsoft word program you could click on it and select open with and choose that program. you can also from this page organize or arrange all of your programs here and also the size. Another choice is to modify more programs than one this is multi managing. Another thing you can do is change the gadgets as in chapter one it told us to get there and now it is showing how they can be changed.

Fundamentals of using Windows 7

Windows 7 is a very diverse program that offers many editions for what you are doing. Each type of edition offers a separate type of such as Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate. Each edition may change your interface for the program and the way you log into the computer. You will notice from other versions of windows this one has a very unique style of GUI (Graphic User Interface). On the start menu which is located at the lower left hand corner you will see a menu with a lot of organized programs it is a very customizable page. to close this hit the GUI icon in the lower left hand corner again. There are other similar GUI icons at the bottom that you can click and un click them to minimize and redisplay the window for the corresponding GUI icon you picked. You can also add gadgets to the desktop which is a bit new to windows uses of XP, you click on the desktop gadget gallery and you can choose gadgets that monitor your cpu usage or even a clock. There are many fundamentals to windows 7 but this covered a majority of the changes in windows 7 compared to other versions.
